With many prominent and posh areas that prevail in Mumbai, one such place that I’m going to be talking about today is none but Bandra. It’s not only famous because of your favourite celebrities that live there, or you spot them, or street shopping or high-end salons; it also offers some of the best eateries to the citizens.
I’m sure you’ll have already read about the food and well I’ve kept the Beverages here so you all can read about it in detail.
First up, along with some French Fries I also called for Little Foot; a very stunning looking mocktail, Kale Me Maybe and You’re Driving Me Bananas; two absolutely delicious smoothies.
Little Foot was a very delicious, exquisite and rather different taste and an absolutely stunning looking Mocktail that I had consumed while I continued to relish on the beautiful and absolutely delicious dishes. A mixture of Guava Juice, Pepper, Lime Juice and Tabasco this drink had all the elements that would steal the show! Unlike any other mocktail that’s sweet, this one had a bit of spicy taste to tickle the tastebuds while it continued to blend with the sweet and sour taste of the juices. Also, one reason that I absolutely love this drink is because it describes me so well, I cant even describe actually; I’m petite and also my feet are small so sort of makes me biased with the name (I know it’s a bad joke).
When it came to smoothies, I can say I was absolutely mesmerized and impressed because of a very simple reason. I’m not a very milk friendly person so I’m very finicky about milkshakes or anything that looks like milk. Also, I can get moody about things so that very obvious too.
Anyway, upon recommendation we went ahead with the two beautiful sounding, looking and tasting smoothies, the names of which I’ve mentioned about.
Kale Me Maybe absolutely had the floor swept off from underneath my feet. A combination of Strawberry, Beetroot, Banana, Kale, Almond Milk and Ground Flax, this smoothie is not only healthy, but also breathtakingly delicious. The smoothie was further garnished with Chia Seeds. With each of these ingredients having their individual nutritious values and different tastes, this smoothie was a unique combination and beautiful looking because it was Pink in colour and girl are crazy about Pink so it would obviously be good! No, but it was genuinely one of the finest smoothies I’ve had in this lifetime! Also, because it looks good, so you never really have to speak about the ingredients with your kids and just hand over a glass of it and your child will have it without even realising much.
You’re Driving Me Bananas on the other hand obviously has it in its name and speaks for itself. Apart from it being used as a pickup line, if your spouse is a health freak then you could compliment them and place an order at the same time. As quirky as its name, the combination too is heart winning. Made with the combination of Banana, Greek Yoghurt, Almond Milk, Peanut Butter and Vanilla, this would be an ideal one for kids too without even putting in any extra effort to convince them to have it except the milk part, which would only be caught because it would look like milk. But I’m all the parents know the tactics. I can clearly say that this smoothie genuinely “drove me bananas”. With a couple of these ingredients already being the kids favourites they would easily consume it. Apart from kids, adults and elders would also enjoy something like both of these smoothies!
While I relished the taste of the Chicken, I couldn’t wait to try a few more dishes so I ordered for a plate of Spaghetti in Aglio Oil. Spaghetti cooked in Aglio Oil and further tossed in some Roasted Garlic and Paparika, it is further topped with Mushrooms and Bell Peppers. Spaghetti is something that’s pretty common but Aglio Olio is not so common. This one wasn’t spicy, but tasted to die for! I’m a big fan of Spaghetti and when I get to eat something that I absolutely love to eat, there’s no way I ever give it a miss but this dish of Spaghetti that my mind absolutely blown and my tongue too! As and when I consumed each dish, my craving to try their different dishes kept on increasing and I couldn’t get enough of these dishes.
All in All, The Daily Bar & Kitchen was a great experience and I cant thank Ms Komal Rukhana to have invited me there!
